Céline Semaan is a visionary user experience, visual and organizational designer, working for companies from retail, ecommerce, content, government and educational sectors. She has also taught UX design and strategy in Montreal and New York, notably designing curriculum and teaching the core UX intensive courses at General Assembly. She is an MIT Media Lab Director‘s Fellow, serves on the Board of Directors of AIGA NY in charge of events and programming bridging the gap between design, social change and human rights. Her fashion activism label Slow Factory produces meaningful accessories which have partnered to produce products and raise funds for NGOs in the social justice, human rights and environmental sectors, and which have been worn by celebrities from Alicia Keys and Pharrell Williams to Selena Gomez.
Colin Vernon is a veteran entrepreneur and seasoned leader of digital products, across Product, Design and Engineering. Keeping a deep technical knowledge while growing and leading multi-disciplinary teams, and driving product and company strategy, he ran Stresslimit Design, a successful Montreal digital agency for a decade; helped found, ran all software and built a connected IoT Platform for littleBits Electronics, and has helped many companies with core digital and product strategy, leadership and technical implementation such as Beyoncé Digital and Medium.com.
